Permanent Collection of Stephen Quiller Works

The Center will be a permanent home for several of Stephen Quiller’s internationally award-winning paintings, all permanently donated by the Quiller family and various collectors. Housed in the building’s main gallery, this retrospective display will span early works, painted when Quiller first began visiting Creede in the late 1960s and early 70s, through some of his most recent pieces. Exhibits will change annually in the summer. Quiller’s paintings sell in the range of $3,000-$10,000, which will increase as time goes on. Displays will initially be conceived and organized by Quiller himself, and exhibits will change annually in the summer. Quiller also plans to create a large piece painted specifically to welcome guests to the new museum.

Works of other Internationally Renowned Master Watercolor Artists

Throughout his 50-year career, Stephen Quiller has developed friendships with master painters worldwide. Initially, through these relationships, and later, because of the emerging status of the Center, additional work will be gifted or placed on a long-term loan for display. Rena Rosequist, owner of the Mission Gallery in Taos, New Mexico, has promised to donate a significant collection of Southwestern Art.

The list below highlights potential acquisitions of artworks for the Center from artists who are luminaries of watercolor media worldwide. This list is not limited to but amongst many others we expect to be in our International Exhibition.
